Simple Camera Slider

Simple Camera Slider

thingiverse

I designed a camera slider that's compatible with GoPro mounts to help me capture better footage for my videos. The system is driven by pushing the platform, turning the crank handle, or using a cordless drill. My goal was to create an affordable design that offers multiple ways to drive the system. Initially, I envisioned three drive systems: hand-driven, drill-driven, and motorized. While I'm still working on adding a motor, my primary objective remains the same - keep costs low so anyone can build it without breaking the bank. I've tested the slider with a DSLR camera and it performed flawlessly, but I haven't yet completed the platform for mounting regular cameras. This is simply a matter of prioritizing tasks; I'll get to it eventually. As the design evolves, I encourage users to share their feedback and suggestions. With these inputs, I plan to refine the slider further. Update 10/01/17: To facilitate collaboration, I've uploaded the F3D file for others to remix and adapt according to their needs.
