Simple Camera Mount for Logitech C920 and Ender 3 Pro

<p>This is an easy to print camera mount for a Logitech C920 (may work for other camera models that have the same bolt size) so it can be mounted from the front of an Ender 3 Pro.</p> <p>PLEASE READ THE PRINT INSTRUCTIONS (SEE BELOW)</p> <p>The camera screw was remixed from<br/> <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:578514">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:578514</a><br/> and a notch was added onto its side so it can be properly positioned inside of the base.</p> <p>Note: The camera screw may be a bit too wide if printed at full scale and so the default screw that comes with camera_mount.stl has been scaled down, diameter-wise by 2%. This reduced screw size worked for me.</p> <p>STL Descriptions:</p> <ul> <li><p>camera_mount.stl<br/> Here's everything you need to make the mount. Includes the base and a 2% reduced size screw. Tip: print at 0.24mm layer height for all layers, including first layer</p> </li> <li><p>camera_base_only.stl<br/> This is only the base</p> </li> <li><p>camera_mount_screw_only_0.98size.stl<br/> This is only the screw at 2% reduced size. It will take some work to get it in but it will most likely fit. Try camera_mount_screw_only_1.0size.stl if this size was too loose.</p> </li> <li><p>camera_mount_screw_only_1.0size.stl<br/> This is only the screw at full size. Tip: Don't use this one if you printed the base at 0.24 mm. Might work with smaller layer heights.</p> </li> </ul> <p>Assembly and Installation:</p> <p>Print out both the base and the screw.</p> <p>Place the screw into the bottom of your Logitech C920 camera. Twist it in until you have the notch facing to the back of the camera in a snug position (to the back means opposite from where the camera lens points).</p> <p>Place the screw into the base. Press slowly downward until the screw is secure into the base.</p> <p>Place the base onto the front of your Ender 3 Pro. (See the photos above for guidance)</p> <p>Let me know if this works for everyone else!</p> <p>Another Tip: If you print this out with PLA and you twist the screw too hard, there's a chance that the screw will break. If it does, it's ok. Stab the broken screw part with your plastic cutters and then twist it out.</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>To avoid significant wearing over time on the mount's notches, I highly recommend printing this mount with PETG or perhaps even ABS. You want to make sure that this mount is strong.</p>
