Simple Cable Management Hook
thingiverse
I designed this small hook to keep cables under control, particularly those running up to my TV. They were already bundled with zip ties, but some extra guidance was needed to reach their destination without looking messy. The hook was made to attach to the wall using Command brand strips by 3M. It worked pretty well for a while, but soon I encountered a problem. I suspect that the Command hanging strips have a component that adheres better to the proprietary hook itself, as when I tried to adjust my TV's bracket, the whole thing ripped off the wall and broke. It's clear that this device will work well for cable management, provided you're working with relatively static cables, like those behind a desk. One advantage of 3D printing the hook is that you can choose a color that matches your wall. During its short period of service, it blended in perfectly, and you only noticed it if you were actively looking for it.
