Simple cable clip
thingiverse
I assembled the printer and immediately made a custom cable holder for our 1.9 mm thick desk. This cable holder was designed specifically to manage two cables: one thick HDMI, which kept falling behind the couch, and one thin lightning USB charging cable, which frequently vanished in the depths of "behind-the-desk". It was my first print and my first creation. Our desk is a standard IKEA design, and this cable holder should fit most of IKEAs furniture. The object features two cable slots with different widths: 7 mm for large cables like an HDMI cable and 3 mm for thin chargers. The "pinch" effect we expected from the bent design was somewhat disappointing, so we added two small rubber feet to the ends of the clip to ensure it holds securely to the desk. The design process began in Tinkercad and was later tweaked in Blender to achieve the desired pinched effect that grips the desk tightly.
