Simple Bubble Bottle with Handle and Screw On Cap

thingiverse

This is a straightforward bottle with a screw-on cap that comes apart cleanly. So far, it has been tricky to get the cap off without a tool since there hasn't yet been a successful print with a water tight seal on a separate screw cap attachment. The container holds approximately 200 milliliters (7 fluid ounces).\nPrint Settings\nPrinter Model: \nMakerBot Replicator (5th Generation)\nPrinter Brand: \n MakerBot\n Print Temperature:\n Standard temperature was used.\n First Layer Speed: \n Fastest first layer speed available on this printer is typically set to the highest speed, in most instances this may be adjusted downward.\n Retraction Settings:\n Typical setting is for all types of plastics that should not ooze. However settings will vary depending on plastic choice.\n Brim and Support:\n Typically I do a 20 layer wide brim on smaller prints because brims have gotten less necessary with better surface preparation at start of printing process.\n Layer Thickness:\n Layer thickness used for printing is standard.\n Infill: \n The typical infill level in this case is sixty percent.\nPost-Printing\nAfter many attempts, I finally figured out how to make a decent water tight seal by increasing temperature during last few layers.\nDesign Process\nCreated the bottle design from scratch in SolidWorks with some knowledge about print technology.
