I needed a quick enclosure for an inexpensive laser, and came up with this. There is a more complete writeup available: https://lambiaselightindustries.com/inexpensive-and-relatively-simple-box-for-a-laser/ The goal was to create a box requiring the use of few tools and made from off-the-shelf components. The base is a 3/4" 2'x2' project panel, the sides are 2x2 x 1/4", cut in half to make 1 foot by 2 foot sides. Panels can be found that are already 1'x2' and should work, except that a small notch must be routed for each of the bolts before it will fit correctly. Printing: There should be (almost) no overhangs when printing. The top corner pieces should be printed upside down. The stiffener was designed to be easily printed laying flat. No magic to this print. I also used high-speed settings, with thick layers.
