Just another MK8 bowden extruder, designed for a geared Nema17 stepper motor with a 5.18:1 ratio. This particular extruder was built for use on a Rostock Mini Pro, requiring minimal parts for optimal printing results. Key components include: Parlist: * 1 x Nema17 geared stepper * 1 x MK8 drive gear * 3 x M3 x 23mm screws * 1 x M4 x 12mm screw * 1 x Ball bearing measuring 11mm by 4mm by 4mm * 1 x Bowden tube fitting in size M5 * 1 x Strong spring, approximately 25-30mm long and 7mm wide, requiring a force of about 60N at the bearing A fixture for mounting on smooth rods is also included for use with Rostock Mini setups, which will necessitate additional M3 screws. Print Settings: * Printer Brand: Robo 3D * Printer: R1 ABS + PLA Model * Rafts: Not essential to settings * Supports: Enabled by default * Resolution: Set to 0.2 for optimal quality * Infill Percentage: Set to 35% for efficient layering Post-Printing: The installation requires some printer-specific modifications, where the holes need to be drilled according to screw size (in my setup, I had to perform this). Setup is quite straightforward: - Print both parts as instructed. - Install the bowden fitting at the extruder block. - Fit the bearing using an M4 screw. - Place the lever over the axis of the block for added stability. - Attach the extruder securely with three M3 screws. - Finally, insert the spring; this design accommodates easy replacement should you need to adjust force levels.
