<p>I found that all the filament holders out there seemed too complicated for what I needed. So, I designed my own.</p><p>It is super simple and the rolls don't have any issues spinning on it. You can also add a little Kapton tape to the top edge to reduce the friction even further but I don't usually worry about it.</p><p>If mounted to wall, you can feed filament through either foot to prevent uncoiling and allow better feeding.&nbsp;</p><p>Made to fit the widest 5Kg rolls and can still take up to two smaller 1kg rolls.</p><p>There is internal voids in the design so that internal structure is printed to give extra strength to the spindle and support. There is also prevision for M6 threaded rod to go through the spindle shaft for extra strength or attaching to a wall. 10% gyroid infill, 3-4 perimeters with 0.6 nozzle in PETG is what I print them out with.</p>
