Simple Beam Bridge

Building an uncomplicated beam bridge is a great project for the Franciscan University's Gizmo Expo. The first step is to gather materials. You'll need two 1" x 4" pieces of wood, one 1/2" x 4" piece of wood, and some glue. Cut the 1" x 4" pieces into two equal lengths. These will be the bridge's supports. Next, cut the 1/2" x 4" piece into a length that is slightly shorter than the distance between the two supports. This will be the bridge's deck.
