Simple Ball Bearing Filament Rotator
thingiverse
Using standard 9.5mm ball bearings, you can build a simple rotating bearing that allows your large filament rolls to rotate freely. As someone who owns a Fisher Delta printer, I've encountered the problem of being unable to hang 0.5kg spools on the side due to weight limitations, so I created this design to address the issue with my 1kg spools. To ensure proper contact between the ball bearings and the object, I edited the top and bottom surfaces to create a secure connection. The resulting object is 100mm wide and can accommodate 29 x 9.5mm ball bearings, leaving a minimal 2mm gap between them. While this gap may be removed in future edits, it currently serves its purpose effectively.
