Simple Balancing Bird

Simple Balancing Bird The balancing bird is an engaging toy that lets kids play with gravity and center of mass in a hands-on way. But it's not simple to print a bird that actually works because of the unpredictable nature of 3D filaments and printing parameters. I previously resorted to using bolts (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2027942). The bird functions but doesn't look very appealing. In an effort to showcase the idea while minimizing filament usage, I decided to focus on the outline of the bird. The current model almost works at a density of 20%. When it fails to balance itself, one can try adding a few clips, which makes the model even more intriguing. You might wonder how such a small clip could make a big difference? Alternatively, you can use paper clips. Among the files: 1. Bird outline: two versions (grooved and non-grooved) 2. Clips: two versions Have fun!
