Simple anemometer
thingiverse
I needed an anemometer to determine when it's safe to fly my RC models. Ideally, the wind speed should be minimal, as even slight movements could cause smaller models to crash. The last one I printed was made from ABS and withstood extreme temperatures for two years - 35 degrees Celsius under direct sunlight and -20 degrees Celsius in freezing conditions. Now, I'm experimenting with PETG. This design utilizes a 608 bearing and a 10mm rod to create the anemometer itself.
