A simple yet sturdy bracket designed specifically to hold cat-scratching poles securely against a robust wall. After dismantling an old cat tree and salvaging some 80mm diameter scratching poles in good condition, I decided to repurpose them on my balcony. The main brackets are single-sided and heavy-duty for top and bottom support, while the spacers offer stability between pole pieces. To ensure secure installation, use suitable bolts and washers at the top and bottom, as well as threaded rod pieces between poles and with the spacer. Two versions of this bracket design are provided - one for 8mm central bolts and another for 10mm central bolts - both common sizes used in cat-scratching pole construction. The mounting holes allow for some adjustment, which I added after printing to simplify the alignment process during drilling into masonry. Additionally, I increased the angular resolution of the uploaded files to create a cleaner curve appearance. To ensure a strong and secure installation, print with generous infill, use large screws, and take your time - your pet's safety is ultimately your responsibility. I wrapped spare string around the top bracket for added grip and also to conceal the bright purple PLA material used in its construction.
