Simple 9 | Fan Show Down
thingiverse
My submission for Fan Show Down. My idea, although it looks kind of simple, was to hopefully create a fan that has a higher static pressure by creating a fan with less gap between the blades. Winglets to help seal the edge of the blades. I also included a twisted fan blade profile, so the angle of attack is greater towards the center where the torque is higher, and a more gentle blade angle at the tips where speed is increased. I chose a high number of blades (9) to hopefully make the hum a higher pitch, and less choppy. The features are made as thin and light as possible and should be printed with a 0.4mm nozzle. I'm teaching myself fusion360, and this is the first fan I've made. I made an educated guess, but I'm not sure how well it will work!!!
