I needed a rapid solution to halt the chips on my OMIOCNC X6-2200EPL 6040. This swift and effortless chip shield utilizes 4 strips of 3mm perspex cut to size and 4 printed corners. To customize, adjust the lengths of the perspex to match your machine and use the customizer here: http://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=963667. The two longest pieces sit in the outer tooling slots along the Y-Axis, while the shorter lengths rest on top of the bed along the X-Axis. All are joined with 130mm printed corners. The assembly and disassembly process is straightforward and easy to handle as needed. 3mm Perspex Requirements: 2 x 650mm x 150mm 2 x 390mm x 135mm Print Settings: Rafts: None Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 10% Notes: Faster is better, so use low resolution and high speed for quicker results.
