Please excuse me for the terrible print quality in the photos - I had some major under extrusion problems. Fully printable 5 cylinder radial engine. Use 1.75mm filament to make the piston pins, which should fit snugly on the piston and loosen up at the connection rods. The same goes for the bottom of the rods attaching to the rod assembly. The rod assembly needs internal supports, so you might want to print that separate from the rest of the parts. Other components don't require any supports. I added a little lip to the crank pin which can be melted to make it wider and lock the rod assembly in place. Just be careful not to melt the parts together! In my case, they stayed put well enough. For example, heat up the tip of a flathead screwdriver and use that to widen the lip until it's just malleable but not melting. Then you won't fuse the parts together. Put the thumbknob through the center hole in the block and attach the crank to it afterwards. Like the second picture shows - it was a perfect friction fit after sanding the hole of the crank slightly, so no glue was needed. But you might need some glue to get it to work. The thumbknob should spin freely on the hole in the block, making sure that the glue stays between the axle and the hole of the crank. I can do a video about assembling this if people show interest. A 0.2mm layer height and 0.4mm nozzle are recommended but I got away with using 0.25mm layer height and 0.5mm nozzle - the piston pin was just a bit tough to get in, so I had to sand it slightly on the side of the piston. Parts shown in the pictures were printed this way. Print the piston five times and the rod four times - like in the third picture which shows the printing orientations too.
