Simple 2D Snowflake
thingiverse
Hello, I've made a simple 2D snowflake, that you can use as decoration in any way you can imagine. I am taping them to the windows. I've made them to be printed in this way: 1st layer 0.2mm Rest of the layers 0.32 mm. This will give you 5 layers in total. Ther are two version, one with hole in the middle and one without. If you are scaling them, do not scale them on the Z axis otherwise it will mess up the number of layers. Usually you print with 3 bottom and 3 top layers, so the snowflake becomes a solid object, but this can cause issues in the top layer when your flow is not properly calibrate. I suggest you print one as a test and if your top layer seems overextruded, reduce the flow. Otherwise you may experiment with 2 bottom and 2 top layers, leaving one in the middle to soak up the overextrusion, but I have not tested this. I've printed them with white PETG and the thickness 1.48 seems perfect, because they are solid enough, yet flexible as well.
