Simple 2013 Probe Mount
thingiverse
Attach the Printrbot auto-level induction probe bracket to the wooden 2013 Simple printer (with a metal bed). The photo is of an earlier version I printed, which is similar in design. The bracket was contributed by dreadpirate15 (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:302435) but needed lengthening as it didn't allow the probe to reach the bed. Other tweaks were made as well, and this is my first contribution; please let me know if I did something wrong. The bracket is hoped to be useful. On my Simple XL, I had to modify the configuration.h file to increase the calibration point from the right side because the firmware was trying to drive past the X max limit. It was changed from 10 mm to 30 mm as follows: #define RIGHT_PROBE_BED_POSITION X_MAX_LENGTH-30. For those who don't want to learn how to rebuild the firmware, you can adjust the X max with the M211 command; e.g., from M211 X183 to M211 X165 (Note that my XL only goes to 183, not 185 mm). This will prevent calibration problems but may reduce your maximum print size.
