REEF, 2015 12 ct plaster on carved wood 120 cm diameter Simon Allen burst onto the scene in Bristol, UK, born in 1967. He honed his skills in Fine Art at Falmouth School of Art, graduating in 1989 with a degree that propelled him forward. A brief stint as a technician at Waddington Galleries followed, before he delved into the world of gilding at Stewart Heslop Frames. Allen's dedication earned him the title of Studio Manager. With a newfound sense of purpose, Simon returned to Cornwall in 1994, and his art career took flight. He poured his passion into developing unique wall sculptures adorned with precious gold. Today, he thrives as a full-time sculptor in his Cornish moorland studio near St.Ives, surrounded by the beauty that inspires him. With his loving wife by his side and two beautiful daughters to nurture, Simon's life is a masterpiece of artistry and love.
