Revamped y-carriage for the Prusa Mendel 3D printer. The new design features a single printable chassis that accommodates LM8UU bearings with machine screw clamps. It ensures the drive belt clamp aligns with idlers at both ends while maintaining clearance from rail obstructions to increase print height. Simple printing and assembly required; take approximately 5 hours. Attach the carriage to a 4-6mm aluminum sheet of equivalent size as your PCB heater (e.g., 220mm square). Secure the PCB heater using springs and M3 screws, like these thumb wheel adjusters. If your deck accuracy is satisfactory, replace the four corner springs with spring or leather washers to enhance build height. Awaiting photos after printing.
