Simon's adjustable Y motor bracket
thingiverse
Revamped Y motor bracket for Mendel Prusa 3D printer, featuring an upper tensioner bolt that simplifies belt adjustment. Designed in HeeksCad as it complements a Y-carriage without integrated tensioners. The picture showcases its compatibility with rails but not its exact placement on the printer. Inspired by previous designs, this modification positions the adjuster on top rail for accessibility and better fit. Printing instructions available; no additional drilling required. Recommended settings: 3 perimeters, 3 layers, 0.35 nozzle, 0.25mm layer height, 25% infill at 90-degree fill angle. An improved version, Y-adj_S2d, corrects the top rail arc and replaced a previous too tight design. A M4 adjuster screw of 40mm or more length is needed.
