Simbi Prosthetic Hand v.0.0.1
youmagine
Changes in v0.0.1 Relaxed tolerances for improved printability. Added printable pins and holes to squares. This is the initial release, and it's far from complete. I'm starting with the gauntlet, then moving on to the palm and fingers as the design takes shape. I'm using the Raptor and Beast hands as my study subjects, and many of my improvements will address areas where those designs fall short. The primary goals for this prosthetic hand are: 1. Exceptional printability without rafts, brims, or supports. All these structures are built in as needed in each part. The goal is to print right the first time every time on any printer. 2. Faster printing times. Part size is minimized for comfort and material cost savings without sacrificing durability. 3. Stronger joints. All circular joints are oriented to be printed on their side, producing a stronger joint less likely to split during assembly or rough use. 4. Aesthetically pleasing. It's gotta look good!
