Simax3D Iron M1 Y Axis Belt Mount
prusaprinters

This is a work in progress.

It is a part to provide some extra strength to this fairly fragile design, in addition to making the belts serviceable. It retains the socket head cap screw as the Y end stop.

I designed this after my Y axis belt disintegrated, which was a fun issue. It doesn't add a tensioning mechanism, but it does make it much easier to swap the belt, as well as hopefully relieve some of the stress on the M5 bolts while the belt is under tension. Print it in PETG or ABS, though PLA+ should be fine too.

EDIT: After printing the initial design, it works, but I see I have more clearance than I originally thought I did, and in addition added a little more wiggle room to make the belt easier to install. Please use the R2 version.

Print Settings

Printer:

Simax3D Iron M1

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

200

Infill:

40%

Filament:
SUNLU PETG
Black

Category: 3D Printer Parts
