Wheel box for a momo Mod 27. Took two years of careful planning and designing before finally completing the project within three months. The design is tailored specifically for a 1.75"/44mm 3 hole quick release bolt pattern. This custom wheel box features up to 17 buttons, four rotary encoders, and a toggle switch. It utilizes a Symprojects JC-LED board, but other boards could be used if the dimensions match. Various bolts - M3, M4, and M5 - along with nuts, microswitches, small magnets, and numerous buttons and encoders are required. The wheel box has been in use for approximately six weeks, averaging around 15 hours per week, utilizing a high-powered direct drive Leo Bodnar Simsteering system without any concerns about strength or durability. Paddle shifters were adapted from dankart27's design. A significant amount of time and effort was invested into building this project, with no budget constraints in place. The buttons used are from Leo Bodnar electronics, which are quite expensive but also used on real race wheels. Cheaper alternatives can be sourced. Most printing was done at 20% infil using Prusment Galaxy black, allowing for customized button hat colors as desired. This project showcases self-taught expertise and invites feedback to improve upon it.
