Sim Racing Quick Release Strong Mount - 70mm

** Wall mount design found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4581164 ** I recently upgraded to a direct drive wheel base, so I needed to beef up my quick release system and this is what I came up with. For being printed in PLA, it is extremely solid and much more secure than my previous quick release (similar to amstudios design). I have been using this for the past few weeks on an Accuforce V2 with High feedback settings. Only issue I've run into so far is some rims don't have the space to fit the 70mm circle in-between the paddle shifters. The quick release uses standard 70mm bolt pattern to attach to wheel base and rim. The base mount connects via M5 button head bolts, and the rim mount uses M5 button head bolts as well (depending on which rim you attach to, the length will vary, I have been using M5x16mm bolts and nuts to match). You just need to make sure the bolt does not stick past the recess pocket. The two center holes are meant for M5x16mm button head bolts and nuts to give more strength to center of quick release (not sure if it really does add stength, but figured it couldn't hurt). The retaining pin is a basic #6-32 x 2" machine screw (just what I had laying around). Also uses one small magnet (6.5mmx5mm)that acts as a hold for the retaining pin. This is setup to have VERY tight tolerances, so just fair warning. The initial fitment is very tight, but does get easier to attach after a few uses (you typically need to hit with palm of hand to seat the first few times. Once they mate up a few times you can easily attach by using your fingers to lock into place I am looking at possible adding lithium grease to aid in sliding on and off.
