A Neodymium magnet reacts ever so slightly to silver. This setup holds silver at an angle, allowing you to place a small Neodymium magnet on the silver for testing purposes. You will notice a difference when applied. When moved quickly along the picture line, it's like watching a quick movie. The magnet pocket is designed specifically for an iMac made of Silver. Since preserving the magnets' value is now the only real benefit in those units.
