Silver Surfer

Originally named Norrin Radd, he was a young astronomer from the planet Zenn-la, a prosperous planet where pacifism was inculcated. He agreed to serve Galactus, the planet-eater, to prevent Galactus from feeding on his planet and to lead Galactus to planets where there was no life so that he could devour them. Galactus granted him cosmic powers, a silver appearance and a surfboard as a vehicle (an appearance that Radd dreamed of since he was a child). Silver Surfer wandered the universe looking for uninhabited planets, but with enough energy to feed Galactus, which was extremely difficult for him, so he started offering him planets with undeveloped life, but he was remorseful about it. Galactus manipulated him telepathically so he didn't have those regrets and Silver Surfer started offering him all kinds of planets. Among these, he found Earth.
