Silicone Spatula Mold and Handle

This is a printable mold for a silicone spatula, specifically designed to match the standard commercial size of spatulas. The STL files included here are for both the silicone spatula mold and the handle, which should be printed from PLA. To ensure the handle can be successfully printed, it has been divided into three separate pieces that will need to be glued together. All parts of the mold and handle can be printed without any support materials required. The mold also includes room for silicone spill over, which simply needs to be trimmed away after printing. A few rubber bands should hold the two mold parts securely in place while the silicone cures. For this application, it is highly recommended to use food-grade silicone. Amazon offers a suitable option: Mold-Star Silicone Making Rubber (B00LU4YFK6). This product provides plenty of quantities at lower prices. When selecting a silicone mold mix, consider the Shore A Hardness level. A quick internet search for "silicone mold hardness" will yield multiple images showing different options.
