Silicone Spacer Cutter. Prusa MK3 Bed Leveling
thingiverse
I made a small design to cut silicone rubber spacers for my Prusa MK3's bed leveling system, ensuring precise length and squared ends. These spacers are used to level the bed using the same procedure as "Bed Leveling without Wave Springs" (https://github.com/PrusaOwners/prusaowners/wiki/Bed_Leveling_without_Wave_Springs), but with rubber spacers instead of nylon nuts or steel spacers. To make these spacers, I used a high-temperature silicone hose (available at https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07219JBWM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). The resulting spacers are 7.5mm long and allow for 2mm of compression once installed. I'm happy to share this design, as it yielded a really good result. Check out the bed level output in the attached picture.
