Silicone Mat Helping Hands v1This simple model adds helping hands to your silicone work mat, it makes use of the part trays and a cheap joby style tripod. My part tray dimensions were 41 x 35 x 12mm.MaterialsSilicone work matExample tripod (you can get these for much cheaper)M4 x 12mm nuts and bolts2mm solid core wireCrocodile clipsHot glueHeat shrink (optional)Assembly InstructionsInsert an M4 x 12mm bolt in the bottom of the print with an M4 nut inserted in the slot at top of the print.Disconnect a section of one of the tripod legs and drill a 4mm hole, place it over the bolt and added another M4 nut to secure.Disconnect the top section of the tripod leg and drill a 2mm hole where you can insert some solid core wire with crocodile clips on the end, add hot glue to secure the wire. Finally snap the tripod pieces back together.I plan to create a light in the same style that makes use of the tripod shoe.
