Silicone Damper Mold

Silicone Damper Mold

This is a custom-designed silicone mold used to create your own dampers, perfect for DIY projects like my lawn mower. The dampers connect the lower body to the upper chassis, utilizing their flexibility as bumpers. The resulting dampers measure 30mm in height and 28mm in diameter. To build two of them, you'll need to print this mold (Form) and the cover (Formdeckel) once, then print the composite part four times. To assemble the dampers, you'll require some M6 screws (hex) and nuts. Depending on your specific needs, you can insert additional nuts and bolts into the composite parts as shown in the accompanying pictures. Additionally, be sure to add some M6 nuts as spacers to prevent the composite parts from coming into contact with the bottom or top of the mold, as illustrated in the drawings. For each damper, you'll need approximately 25-30 grams of 2K silicone. I personally use a shore 32 2K RTV silicone from trollfactory.de for this purpose.
