This is a revised version of Srek's silicone cover mold for the E3D V6 hotend. I'm really impressed by Srek's original design because you don't need a syringe or screws, and the hotend stays securely in place throughout the process. Thank you very much for creating those files! What I didn't like about the original version was that it was difficult to remove the cast from the mold without damaging parts. The thought of having to destroy pieces every time I wanted to make a new silicone cover was frustrating, so I decided to create this revised design. To print my remix, use a resolution of 0.2mm or better and an infill of at least 50%. Since I've adjusted the small overhangs to a 45° angle, support is no longer required. About 8g of heat-resistant two-component silicone should be sufficient - the mold will overflow slightly! I used a product from a German company called "TFC Dubliersilikon S-ROT mittelhart Shore 33 1:1 HB 500g," but any two-component silicone with good heat resistance will work. For easier removal, use screwdrivers, screws, cables, or even a piece of rope through the holes. I simply attach one end to a hook on the wall and pull firmly on the other. The mold can be reused multiple times without breaking anything. You won't need PFTE spray either! Thanks again to Srek for their original design! Have fun making your own silicone covers with this revised remix, and don't forget to share your creations! Please note that commercial use is strictly prohibited.
