<p>This is a simple design for wall mounting a 200mm silicon wafer. </p><p>Q: What is a silicon wafer anyway…??? They are used to create integrated circuits, but some are defective or not used and sold via surplus outlets.</p><p>Q: Why would someone want hang one on a wall? I have no idea.</p><p>Q: Cool… where can I get one? Probably several places, but Electronic Goldmine has (2) for $6 right now… <a href="https://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prodinfo.asp?number=G24595A">https://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prodinfo.asp?number=G24595A</a></p><p>Note that the base piece needs to be printed with supports, which turn out to be a pain to remove. Getting them cleaned out good is essential to get the hanger piece to plug in properly. Blunt force trauma applied to the parts may be beneficial.</p><p>OpenSCAD source is included. Enjoy!</p>
