In 2013, a portable sand processing unit concept was proposed for high-transportability. Typically, plants are sited near quarries; however, this design allows immediate processing within the quarry. The units can easily be leveled and elevated from a 40 ft container shelter in their working position. Additionally, all piping is flexible, being short due to close proximity to the work area. Upgrades were introduced in 2015 for operational enhancements.
