Silica canister for round meter
thingiverse
Scratching my own itch is exactly what I'm doing here. These humble canisters were designed to make use of the affordable, round temp/humidity meters that I picked up on Amazon, and they fit neatly inside the hub of most the filament spools I had lying around. As a result, they work just fine in a dry box or bags with no problem at all. They measure 50mm in outer diameter and 65mm in height, with a center measuring 40mm. Fill them up with bulk silica/desiccant, then pop in a meter. For the best results, use silica gel with a diameter of 2-4mm so it doesn't fall through the openings. Give them a good shake over a trash can and be prepared for a few small beads to slip through. The design is pretty simple and doesn't require anything fancy. If you're using a bowden setup, be aware that stringing issues could arise if your retractions are off.
