Silica bead desicant box
thingiverse
Silica bead desicant box. 100 mm x 200 mm x 40 mm (exterior) with slide lid. I printed at 15% infill, no support (has arches in the top to avoid support problems) Holds about one pound (16 ounces / 450 grams) of dry beads. The slots are 1.9 mm wide. Somehow a few of the "2-3 mm beads" I got slip through the holes, but not too many. I printed in white to make it easier to see the indicator bead colors. Based on my experience I'd suggest 3-5 mm beads and all-indicators instead of a 10% indicator mix. The sizing lets it lay flat on my hot water radiator to recharge in the winter without having to unload the box for microwave or oven. I put a piece of cardboard under it to prevent melting at the contact points. PLA has some risk of warping if you do this; PETG is much better due to higher glass transition temperature.
