Silence, a Book to Read with Your Senses Silence is a collection of poems in the form of micro-stories that relate feelings and sensory experiences, often synesthetic. It's a series of independent phrases that together tell a brief story. This is a poetry book illustrated using 3D printing relief, making it possible to read and touch for both sighted and blind people, offering tactile communication for all. The book features a cover, back cover, and credits page, as well as an inner cover, 14 pages of poetry in two alphabets, 14 pages of illustrations with Braille descriptions below them for easy understanding. The print temperature used was 235 degrees, between 230-240 (not stable) to create a uniform surface. Retraction should be as fast and far apart as possible to avoid unwanted residues. http://tactilebook.tk/imprime-tu-libro.html Post-Printing Binding Each page has a bridge, allowing for double-page folding and adding flexibility. The binding was designed for DIY (do it yourself) purposes, making it accessible worldwide and cost-effective. The design also opens the door to other possible bindings. http://tactilebook.tk/sobre-el-libro.html How I Designed This The Material The book is printed with flexible filament, a very elastic and comfortable material to touch. It's also wrinkle-free and can be moistened. The page size is defined in relation to the average print area of current 3D printers.
