Silencing Creality CR 10 v2
thingiverse
This is a remix from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:398515 I think it's about a 80% sound reduction. Placing the printer on my tile floor toke away the stepper sound. The ground plate didn't fit my version of the power supply so I only used the fan duct, which fits perfectly. A good drip of superglue will keep the duct in it's place. I'f added a picture of my power supply so you can be sure. I also cut open the fan opening in the back. I replaced 4 fans: - Extruder fan, Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX - PSU fan, GELID Solutions Silent 60x10 - Internal fan, Noiseblocker BlackSilent XS-1 50MM - Rear fan, Noctua NF-A6x25 FLX (with printed duct) Also needed are (3x) 24v to 12v buck-converters, I used: ICQUANZX LM2596 DC-DC Buck Converter 3.0-40V to 1.5-35V PSU Step Down Regulator It's a bit bulky but it works fine. (only the PSU fan doesn't need a converter) You also need to solder a couple of cables. I placed the converter for the extruder fan under the Bowden driver, the other 2 converters you can see in the picture.
