The Khanda embodies Sikh beliefs, illustrating equality for all, irrespective of race, social standing, or gender. In Sikhism, there's no distinction before God; everyone is equal. I recently visited Kapurthala, Punjab and stayed in a state Gurudwara, where I gained a small but insightful understanding of this fascinating religion.
