Signum CoreXY/MGN9 Conversion
thingiverse
I published an updated version at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1278086, which features 3 MGN9 rails for X and Y axes, each with impressive performance, check out the attached photos and videos to see it in action. Note that I only briefly addressed full BOM and assembly instructions; they closely mirror those found in the original project but may necessitate additional short hex head bolts and nyloc nuts for optimal operation of rails and pulleys. Feel free to send a message if you're encountering difficulties during assembly, I will promptly respond. Compared to 3DSIGNUM's original project: * CoreXY kinematics now utilize H-Bot configuration. * Upgraded to an 8 mm leadscrew on the Z axis alongside 10 mm smooth rods. * Enhanced print bed size with 182x202 mm of space available for your designs. * Installed E3D v6 hotend for efficient and reliable thermal management. * Switched from LM8UU to Igus RJMP-01-08 for increased durability. * Utilized HIWIN MGN9 rails measuring 200mm in length combined with sturdy MGN9H blocks. A milestone achievement: the first print was captured on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNrzG8T9xh0 and demonstrates excellent functionality. Following feedback, I reversed Y axis placement to align (0, 0) coordinates with the left front corner; as a result, the Y endstop now sits at max position for effortless identification. On 18th January, I released SNS_X-CARRIAGE-4RAILS-V2.stl with a refined design for better rail/bearing mounts.
