Here is an alternative mounting solution for the SignalPod bike direction lights. Instead of securing the pod under the seat, you can mount it on the luggage rack with a completely reversible modification. The 3d printed piece replaces the original framework-like mount attached to the back of the battery door. To install the pod, simply replace the stock framework-shaped mount with the new part: first remove the four small screws on the inner side that hold it in place, then carefully lift out the original mount, making sure not to damage any of the four connecting joints. Once installed, the two bolts in the hex-shaped printed mount should securely fit onto the bike luggage rack spacers. To secure the thing in place, you'll need two non-3D printed nuts and M5 steel bolts; you may also require a few additional spacers, such as rubber tubing cut to approximately 10mm long or other solid objects of suitable thickness. Please note that depending on your bike's design, the size and position of the bigger holes might need some minor adjustments. Once printed, make sure to drill out the small holes for securing the part to the battery door. Now you can install it by removing the SignalPod battery cover, unscrewing the 4 small screws that secure the original framework-shaped mount in place, carefully lifting it out without damaging any of the connecting joints, then placing the new mount into position and screwing back into place using the same four screws. If needed, put spacers onto the bolts, followed by the nuts to fasten everything firmly onto the bike luggage rack.
