This SIGNAL GANTRY is HO scale (1/87th) is a laser cutting folding project. You will have to add 2 cut lines at the juncture of the bottom of the horizontal beam and the support legs to allow the 3 sections to fold around themselves. This model was cut in .016" sheet Mylar. Contact Cement glue was applied with a bottle syringe very sparingly. My laser is an OmTECH K-40 CO2 using LightBurn software. Bend the ladder cage around a 1/4" wooden dowel (See photo) with cotton string and place in an oven at 275 degrees for 10 minutes. Turn off the oven right after placing the cage in the oven and allow to cool naturally. This will set the curve making gluing much easier. Do not leave the oven on as the residual heat will do a nice job of setting the curve to the Mylar. 2 styles of the ladders are included, an old fashioned non-safety version and the newer OSHA required safety cage style.
