Tri Sigma is a sorority at UNC, where I know someone who recently joined, prompting me to create a personalized knickknack for her. Someone suggested I try again. Print Settings: Printer: Hictop Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.3 Notes: If printed without support, my printer produces stringy lower arches. Cura bed-only supports would have made it smoother. The rest prints fine. To prevent this issue, I rotate the object 90 degrees in the slicer so the X axis moves instead of the Y printbed. Printing Results: This design prints exceptionally well with no infill required. I used a 2mm shell thickness and printed with two nozzles using only an Ooze shield. Post-Printing Process: Removing the ooze shield is not a delicate operation due to the toughness of this object. Design Process: I used Meshmixer to remix Itchys Fish and the Sigma Symbol, cutting off two ends from each. I then transformed them into identical shapes, hoping it wouldn't cause any printing problems.
