Sigma's Hyperspheres (Overwatch)
thingiverse
Here are my hyperspheres from the Overwatch game, created using Fillamentum Silver PLA and some blue/purple PET that lost its label - whatever materials you have on hand will work just fine. The dodecahedron cage consists of two identical parts connected by magnets. I designed the pockets for 4mm diameter, 1mm thick magnets (similar to those found at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BVTW5NQ/), although be aware that the link may eventually expire. One cage half features magnets super-glued with their north poles facing towards it, while the other has its north poles away from it. Gluing the cage after inserting the sphere would be simpler, but using magnets is more fun. The sphere itself consists of two parts, each with a hex post in the middle for aligning them while gluing them together. Printing a single 51mm sphere is possible, but achieving a halfway decent finish on the bottom is difficult to impossible.
