Sigma Purge Bucket

Sigma Purge Bucket

After failing to locate a replacement purge bucket for my sigma that I had grown fond of, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create one myself to replace the rickety metal stock buckets that rattled incessantly. This decision was heavily influenced by another design from a different site, which unfortunately did not print well due to numerous mesh errors that I struggled to resolve, and even Solidworks refused to open the STL file because of its many problems. Despite printing it out semi-okay, the part didn't fit my printer properly, and even the slot for the rubber gasket was misaligned. Consequently, I decided to use this design as a reference point but create an entirely new part from scratch in Solidworks. Reverencing the original design's merits, I built a brand-new part that took into account its flaws and shortcomings. This is a left-side part, but mirroring it will yield a functional right side. Although my printer's two sides weren't identical, this part still fits reasonably well. I may revisit this design in the future to create a dedicated right side part with minor adjustments, but for now, this one works just fine. I've included a high-quality STL file and the Solidworks 2016 source file for your convenience. This creation is intended to bring you non-rattling printing joy.
