Sigan 210 Frame Kit
thingiverse
I acquired a used original Sigan 210 V2 frame with all carbon fiber and plastic components, but I was not satisfied with the quality or sizes of the plastic pieces. To address these issues, I redesigned the sandwich parts and increased the spacing from 10mm to 12mm. I also created custom camera canopies that were printed on demand. My quads are designed to shine brightly, so I crafted lighting inserts for the sandwich that utilize RGB LEDs to produce striking visual effects. For this project, I chose MakerGeeks Raptor PLA, a high-temperature and impact-resistant material that is significantly stronger than typical PLA or PETG. While PETG or ABS could also be effective options, standard PLA might not be suitable due to its brittleness. In addition to the structural components, I designed softmounting for the FC and motors using Nijatek Cheetah TPU, which provides excellent vibration control and softer landings. I also created a slide-on camera mount bracket in TPU. This custom Sigan 210 frame kit worked well for me, and I am pleased with the Sigan frame's performance. Unfortunately, this model is no longer widely available, and obtaining parts can be challenging. Hopefully, my design will assist someone in restoring their Sigan to its former glory.
