Modify your barrel at your own peril, as you will be solely responsible for any harm that may come to yourself or your firearm. Sig Sauer M17 SilencerCo Threaded Barrel Filing Guide The Sig Sauer M17 features a loaded chamber indicator but no threaded barrel with the notch cut in it is sold by anyone. Having access to a mill is not necessary, as this guide will help you Dremel and file the notch for a SilencerCo P320 threaded barrel. The cut only provides clearance for the LCI, so it can certainly be filed or cut by hand. There are three separate STL files with different tolerances around what holds the barrel, as no printer prints alike. I recommend using the .002" clearance file, but if it doesn't fit, you could print the larger ones. If none of these fit, a .STEP file is included so that you can remix it to your liking. -M17File002.stl (.002" Clearance Each Side) - Recommended -M17File003.stl (.003" Clearance Each Side) -M17File004.stl (.004" Clearance Each Side) I printed my guide with a 0.2mm resolution, no supports, and 20% infill. Try to give the print at least three or four perimeters for longevity of the jig. It's also recommended that you apply a couple dabs of hot glue at the base of the jig so that the barrel doesn't move under heavy filing or cutting. Isopropyl or rubbing alcohol can easily remove hot glue when you're done. Keep calipers close and check frequently to ensure proper measurements for the groove. Be careful not to file your feed ramp. If you decide to modify your barrel, keep some calipers handy to measure the groove properly. The groove I measured was 0.08" deep and 0.1325" wide. Chamfer edges by hand after cutting the groove to size to match the original barrel.
