Sig Sauer 522 1 inch Cheek Riser
thingiverse
I just created this Sig Sauer 522 1 inch Cheek Riser for my rifle, which I designed and printed myself. After adding an optic, I found that a solid cheek weld was essential for accurate aiming, so I came up with this solution. This single piece print is oriented vertically during the build process, with its back side facing down on the build plate. The clamping sides are slightly canted to provide a firm grip on the butt stock. It simply slides onto the top of the Sig's butt stock, where it securely fastens in place. Additionally, I attached a 1/8 inch thick piece of high density foam padding using hot glue for extra comfort. Today was my first test at the range, and everything worked out perfectly. If you have any ideas or suggestions for improving this design or its printability, please don't hesitate to share them with me.
