Sierpinski Tetrahedron
thingiverse
Sierpinski tetrahedrons from order 0 to 4 are shown in this text, derived from George Hart's original order 5 model (available at www.georgehart.com/rp/rp.html). These models exploit the self-similarity of fractals by removing successive layers. If not for the first Blender experience, I would have made them scale-invariant. The order 5 model is too empty to print when scaled for ABP fitting. An interesting fact: after completing the first layer of order 1 tetrahedrons, the printing is around half done, despite only accounting for 13% of total height. Thanks to George for providing free mathematical models. The order 4 model is scaled to use maximum ABP space; ensure the front right wiring is secured. Print with caution as it barely prints with a stepper-driven extruder and could be fragile. However, a broken order 4 model results in four order 3 models.
