Human: The Siebel ferry was a versatile shallow-draft catamaran landing craft used by Germany's Wehrmacht forces during World War II. Its many roles included transporting troops, serving as a flak ship and gunboat, escorting convoys, and laying mines in the Mediterranean, Baltic and Black Seas as well as along the English Channel. Initially designed for Operation Sea Lion in 1940, a failed German invasion plan targeting England, Siebel ferries continued to provide valuable service even after the war ended in 1945.
